The UT Listserv
has an unmoderated listserv (an automated email list) that has a number
from the Property Manager about work on different parts of the complex
about resources from homeowners
contributions: how-tos, community resources, holiday activities,
Only UT homeowners can subscribe to the listserv. Subscribing is voluntary; any subscriber
can unsubscribe at any time. For more information, email Anne
Note. Renters are not subscribed to the listserv. It is the homeowner's responsibility to forward any relevant information to the renter.
send a message to the listserv, email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Note that there is an underscore (_) between "university" and "terrace." Note also that large photos and documents (even our roster) cannot always be emailed to the list, depending on the file size, since that attachment is replicated "X" number of times, where "X" equals the number of subscribers we have -- a load larger than our listserv program can handle. Note also that you can only post to the listserv from the email address that is subscribed to the list. This prevents spamming.
The McGee-Spaulding-Hardy District NextDoor Listserv
Our neighborhood, known as the McGee-Spaulding-Hardy District after the owners just after the Gold Rush, has a NextDoor listserv. This listserv serves the neighborhood in the following ways (per NextDoor's "About Us" page):
- Quickly get the word out about a break-in
- Organize a Neighborhood Watch Group
- Track down a trustworthy babysitter
- Find out who does the best paint job in town
- Ask for help keeping an eye out for a lost dog
- Find a new home for an outgrown bike
- Finally call that nice man down the street by his first name
There is lots of useful information here.
